The moderator of this panel is Veronica Dagher, host of the Wall Street Journal’s “Watching Your Wealth“ Podcast & Journalist. Featured speakers include Angela Lee, Founder of 37 Angels and Associate Dean & Chief Innovation Officer at Columbia Business School. Additional speakers to be announced shortly.

Veterans Panel

A panel of well-respected organizations and individuals involved in supporting female veterans will discuss how essential it is for women to speak up as veterans for the lives they want to live when they retire from their service and for those who want to support female veterans to speak up too. The moderator of this panel is Loree Sutton, MD, (Ret.) Brigadier General, Commissioner for Veterans Services in the New York City Mayor’s Office. Featured speakers include Jas Boothe of Final Salute, Kerri Childress of Fisher House, Nancy Northrop of Operation Reinvent, and Allyson Solomon, Brigadier General USAF (Ret.) of National Guard Youth Foundation.

Breakout Session 1: How to Speak Up & What’s Holding You Back

This session is designed to support Speak Up Women event attendees with understanding how to speak up (i.e.; in print, writing, the Internet, the media, speaking, in 1:1 conversations, presentations, etc.) and also potentially identify what may be holding them back from doing it (i.e.; fear, permission, discovery of what they want to speak up about, fear of rejection, fear of what other people will think, etc.). The moderator of this panel is Lesley Jane Seymour, former Editor-In-Chief of MORE Magazine and Founder of KINDRED. Featured speakers include Deborah Goldstein of DRIVEN Professionals, Kimberly Mylls of Boys Before Business, Sahar Paz of Find Your Voice, Kristin Salcito-Sandquist of K2 Adventures, and Patrice Tanaka of Joyful Planet.

This session is designed to support Speak Up Women event attendees with understanding how to speak up through organizations, associations, politically, religiously, cause-related (non-profit) efforts and others. It is about creating community by speaking up online and/or offline, how to join a community and add your voice and passions to an existing one, and how to raise awareness about an interest that you have and foster the awareness of others about it. The moderator for this panel is Tracy Davidson, 7-time Emmy Award-winning journalist of NBC10 in Philadelphia, PA. Featured speakers include Madonna Badger of Badger & Winters, Asha Curran of the 92Y, Edie Lutnick of the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, and Kristy Wallace, President of Ellevate Network.

This session is designed to support Speak Up Women event attendees with understanding how to speak up for support and information from their healthcare professionals, whether traditional or holistic. The moderator of this panel is Anne Akers, Publisher of GLOW Beauty Magazine. Featured speakers include Elizabeth Battaglino of HealthyWomen.org, Aesthetic Dentist & Wellness Pioneer Dr. Gerry Curatola, Journalist & Author Barbara Hannah Grufferman, and Leading Dermatologist Dr. Ellen Marmur of Marmur Medical & The Mount Sinai Hospital.
